Two students from Lankaran State University (LSU) have been announced as winners of the Azad Mirzecanzade Development Program.
Since February of this year, participants have been taking part in the Azad Mirzecanzade Development Program both individually and in teams, and a total of ten projects were declared winners following the final evaluation. Among the winners are two students from the “Agriculture and Engineering” Faculty of Lankaran State University. Nuray Aliyeva is a third-year student in “Computer Engineering,” and Ramal Asgarov is a third-year student in “Information Technologies.” They won the Azad Mirzecanzade Development Program with their project, “CodeByte.” For reference, “CodeByte” is an innovative educational startup in Azerbaijan aimed at developing programming and digital skills. The main goal of the project is to provide high-quality, accessible programming education based on modern technologies to young people living in regional areas. The mentor of the winners is Vusal Muradova, an Associate Professor at the Department of Technology and Technical Sciences and a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering. Each winning project will receive financial support of up to 5,000 Azerbaijani manats to further its development. In addition to financial support, the winners will also have access to guidance from experienced professionals, mentorship, and training opportunities. It should be noted that the Azad Mirzecanzade Development Program is aimed at supporting young people aged 18–35 living in Azerbaijan who have the potential to implement innovative and socially significant initiatives. The program provides participants with unique opportunities to develop leadership skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and social engagement. It should be added that applications for the third cycle of the Azad Mirzecanzade Development Program are currently open.
