The next meeting
of the Scientific Council was held
The next meeting of the Scientific Council of Lankaran
State University was held. The Chairman of the Scientific Council, Rector of
LSU, Prof. Natig Ibrahimov introduced the participants to the issues on the
agenda.
The first issue discussed at the Scientific Council was
“The course of education in the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The state of preparation for the first colloquiums”. This was reported by
Assoc. Prof. Zaur Mammadov, Acting Vice-Rector for Organization of Education
and Training Technologies. The information reflected the course of preparation
for the colloquiums in individual faculties and the university as a whole. The
information stated that students in the form of correspondence education
underwent 5 weeks of industrial practice from February 1 to March 6, 2024. In
the full-time form of education at the bachelor's level, 20 weeks are planned
for 17 out of 37 specialty groups, 14 weeks for 11 specialty groups, 4 weeks
for 8 specialty groups, and 34 weeks for 1 specialty. The internship period of
students in 20-week and 4-week internships will end on July 04, and the 14-week
internships will end on May 23, 2025. At the master's level, 2nd year students
participated in scientific and pedagogical internships from February 17 to
March 14, 2025. Scientific research internships are planned from April 01 to
April 28. Z. Mammadov noted that in the spring semester of the 2024/2025
academic year, the first colloquiums will begin on 02.04.205 and will continue
until 12.04.2024. The second colloquiums are scheduled to be held on May 5-17.
The second issue on the agenda of the scientific council -
“The course of the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year at the Social
and Agrarian-Technological College under LSU” was presented by the deputy
director for educational affairs of the college, Habib Habibi. The information
spoke about the work done in this direction at the college and the upcoming
tasks. It was noted that in the college, education continues in 13 groups in
the Agrarian and Technological Department for the 1st and 2nd year credit
groups, and in 9 groups in the Social Department. In accordance with the
curriculum, the relevant schedules have been prepared, approved and their
implementation has begun on February 17, 2025. In total, 16 groups of the
college's graduation courses were involved in practice, and 4 groups were
involved in theoretical training. Theoretical training in these groups will
continue from February 17, 2025 to May 30, 2025, and practice will continue
from February 17, 2025 to July 4, 2025. In the college credit groups, it is
planned to hold the 1st colloquiums from April 07, 2025 to April 18, 2025, and
the 2nd colloquiums from May 12, 2025 to May 23, 2025.
The report on the work done in the social field at the
university was presented by Assoc. Prof. Ramiz Shammadov, acting vice-rector
for social issues.
The information of the Chief Scientific Secretary-Head of
Staff Assoc. Prof. Allahshukur Guliyev was listened to regarding the holding of
elections based on the announcement published in the “Azerbaijan Muallimi”
newspaper and “Discussion of the works considered in the Scientific and
Educational-Methodological Council”. The election to the vacant elective
positions at the university was held by secret ballot.
The Academic Council also considered current issues and
made decisions on all issues discussed.
