Scientific Seminars by the “Student Scientific Society” Held

At Lankaran State University, in accordance with the planned schedule developed by the university’s Scientific Affairs Office, the Student Scientific Society (SSC) organised faculty‑specific scientific seminars for the 2024‑2025 academic year. The seminars focused on the topic “Interpreting the Results of Scientific Research, Preparing and Presenting Theses and Articles”.

Participants included faculty deans, teaching staff of various departments, the university‑wide SSC chair, and faculty SSC chairs and members. During the seminars the SSC chairs for each faculty provided participants with information about the subject matter and the direction of activities. For example, at the Faculty of Agriculture and Engineering, Dean Associate Professor Balayar Shahbazov and Vice Dean Associate Professor Vusala Muradova presented; at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Head of the Department of Veterinary and Zoo Engineering Sciences Associate Professor Rahim Bilalov and SSC Chair for that faculty Sayyar Agazade were present; in the Faculty of Literature, Associate Professor Korkmaz Agayev of the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology; in the Faculty of History‑Geography and Art, Dean Associate Professor Afaq Gasimova and Associate Professor Gulnara Mammadova of the Department of Geography and Its Teaching Methods; and in the Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty SSC Chair Associate Professor Farid Khankishiev and in the Faculty of Philology and Primary Education, Professor Abid Tahirli of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature delivered an address outlining the topic and guidelines. They provided detailed information on how to interpret research findings as well as rules for preparing theses and articles and forms of presenting research work. The session concluded with answers to questions raised by the students.
