Attestation of doctoral and dissertation students

1. Doctoral students and dissertation candidates must pass the examination at the end of each year - in December, in accordance with the relevant rules, provided that it is not less than once a year. The purpose of the attestation is to evaluate the activities of doctoral students and dissertations in their individual work plans for the current (past) year.

2. The continuation of the doctoral student (dissertation student) in the next academic year is determined based on the result of the attestation.

2.3. The implementation of the individual work plan of the doctoral student (dissertation) is regularly monitored by the department, faculty and University Science Department. The schedule of the attestation is prepared by the Department of Science in agreement with the department's management and the dean's office, and it is announced to doctoral students and dissertation students in advance.

4. For the attestation, the doctoral student (dissertation) takes the individual work plan from the Science Department, makes the necessary notes about the work performed for the certified work and submits it to the relevant department.

5. Doctoral students and dissertation students who do not pay the annual tuition fee are not admitted to the attestation.

6. The doctoral student (dissertation) reports on the work performed during the current year at the department meeting attended by the supervisor and presents the results of the work planned in the individual work plan. The doctoral student (dissertation) also provides information about the work plan for the next year.

7. The scupervisor must evaluate the activity of the doctoral student (dissertation) during the reporting period.

8. After the attestation in the department, an individual work plan is signed and submitted to the relevant Scientific Council of the Faculty together with an extract from the discussion protocol of the department. Attestation by the department is accepted as follows:

• To be attested (the intended work has been completed in full and it is recommended to continue his/her education in the next year)

• To be conditionally attested (a certain part of the intended work has been completed and it is required to be completed in full within the period determined by the department)

• Failure to be attested (the intended works were not performed for no good reason)

9. After the Attestation at the Scientific Council of the respective Faculty, an individual work plan is signed and submitted to the Science Department together with an extract from the discussion protocol of the Scientific Council of the Faculty

10. A person who does not fulfill the individual work plan due to unexcused reasons, does not contact the department to which he/she is assigned, is considered not to have passed the attestation and is excluded from the doctoral program.

11. Individuals who complete their individual work plan and complete scientific research in the doctoral program are allowed to defend their dissertation to receive the scientific degree "Doctor of Philosophy".
