Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor Natig Ibrahimov
Ibragimov Natig Sahrab oghlu was born on March 28, 1953 in the village of Mykhlygovag of Gabala. N. Ibragimov graduated from the Mykhlygovag rural secondary school.
In 1972-1978, he got education at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of the Azerbaijan State University (now BSU).
In 1979-1982, he used to work as a mathematician-programmer at the Computing Center of the University.
In 1982-1985, he used to work as a mathematician-programmer at the Computing Laboratory of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics.
In 1985-1992, he was a director of Educational Laboratory of the Faculty, as well as a lecturer of the department.
Since 1993, he has worked as a Lead Inspector, Lead Consultant and Chief Consultant at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 2014 to the present, he has been working as Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Ministry of Education.
In the period after 1993, he successively worked at the Baku State University as a senior lecturer, associate professor and professor.
In 2008-2013, he was a representative of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the Bologna Working Group (BFUG) of the European Higher Education Area (AHEA) and a responsible person for the application of the credit system in the republic.
In accordance with the action plan for the integration of higher education of Azerbaijan into the European educational area, in 2008-2013, on the part of the Ministry of Education, he led the preparation of educational programs of state standards of higher education and in the specialty.
Since May 2016, he is rector of Lankaran State University.
In accordance with the Educational Strategy approved in our country, he carried out reforms at the Lankaran State University, raised the material and technical base of the university to a level that meets modern requirements and led the implementation of measures to ensure transparency and accountability.
He organized the establishment and strengthening of relations between Lankaran State University and foreign universities (about 50 Turkish and European universities and centers) and the exchange of students and teachers.
Since 1997, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, since 2015 Doctor of Mathematical Sciences, Professor. Author of one monograph, two textbooks and several programs. Scientific adviser of four doctoral students.
In 2011, he was awarded with the title of "Honored Teacher of the Republic of Azerbaijan" by order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Since 2003, he is a member of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).
Married, has three children.
