Civil Defense Headquarters

The Civil Defense Headquarters of Lankaran State University was established on September 21, 1999 in order to provide the security of the population and the territory in peacetime or wartime.

The actions of The Civil Defense Headquarters include the following:

- To focus on the implementation of civil defense measures;

- To take prophylactic actions to prevent natural or technogenic emergencies;

- To maintain the civil defense property, use the 1st floor of the facility as a shelter for protection of personnel in case of emergency;

- To monitor strictly training of the Civil Defense Forces in order to ensure the safety of LSU staff and students, to prevent possible emergencies and eliminate its consequences;

- To control constantly the provision of the Civil Defense Forces with equipment (computers, communications, etc.) that meets modern standards;

- To develop an annual action plan and approve it in coordination with local organizations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations;

- To provide training and practices in accordance with the requirements of the Resolution No.193 dated September 25, 1998 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on ensuring civil defense and the Action Plan of Civil Defense prepared annually.
