Information about the "Mathematics and Informatics" department

"Mathematics and Informatics" department is one of the largest departments of Lankaran State University. The department has been operating since 1992. The main purpose of the work of the "Mathematics and Informatics" department is to teach students various sections of mathematics, the application areas of these sections and the methods of conducting research in this direction. To date, about 15 doctors of sciences - professors and about 30 candidates of sciences - docents of the most prominent scientists of Azerbaijan have worked in the department. Currently, 21 employees work in the department. Among them, 3 people are doctor of science professors, 8 people are associate professors with doctor of philosophy, 1 person is senior teacher with doctor of philosophy, 3 people are senior teachers, 5 people are teachers and 1 person is a laboratory technician. In the direction of "Mathematics", scientific-research works are carried out in 2 directions: "Boundary and optimal control issues for classical and non-classical differential equations of mathematical physics" and "Modern problems of mathematics teaching methods". The results of the scientific research conducted by the employees were published in the scientific journals of the republic and a number of foreign countries.

Employees of the department have represented the university in various grant projects, international scientific conferences and other prestigious events.

In 2014, a scientific-practical conference was held at the department together with Professor A.G. Yagola of Moscow State University and Professor Nakanechni of Kyiv State University.

On 25.01.2019, a scientific seminar on "Modern problems of algebra" was held under the leadership of Professor Ivan Anatoliyevich Maltsev, an employee of the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In the academic year of 2014, two dissertation students Hamidov Ruslan Allahveran and Musayeva Matanat Asaf , in 2015 one doctoral student Pashayev Nahid Jalil , and in 2016 one dissertation student Mirzayeva Salima Mirza , in 2017 doctoral student Gasimov Rashid Atakhan , In 2018, Habibov Vahab Mehdi , Mammadzade Aygün Malik and Guliyev Allashukur Azizaga successfully defended their dissertations and received the doctor of philosophy degree in mathematics in 2022. 3 doctoral students passed the initial defense and were admitted to the next stage.

Pashayev Nahid Jalil - doctor of philosophy in mathematics, associate professor Pashayev Nahid Jalil was born in 1964 in Garmatuk settlement of Lankaran district. He graduated from BSU "Applied-mathematics" faculty. He has been working at Lankaran State University since 1999. During his work, he worked as a teacher, head teacher, associate professor, deputy dean, vice-rector for administrative and economic affairs at the university. Since 2010, he has been a doctoral student of the "Differential Equations" specialty of LSU.

In 2015, he graduated from the Faculty of Science with the specialty "Differential Equations". received the scientific name.

1. Mirzayeva Salima Mirza - doctor of philosophy in mathematics, associate professor was born in 1972 in Ashagi Nuvedi settlement of Lankaran district. In 1996, he graduated from ADNA's "Automation of Management Processes" faculty with honors. He has been working at Lankaran State University since 1997. During this period, he worked in the positions of chief laboratory assistant, scientific worker, teacher, senior teacher and associate professor. In 2011, he was a doctoral student at LSU majoring in "Econometrics".

In 2016, he received the scientific title of doctor of philosophy in mathematics, and in 2019, he received the diploma of associate professor.

2.Muradov Mammad Farrukh - PhD in mathematics, associate professor was born in 1968 in the village of Siyaku, Astara district. In 1985-1992, he graduated from the "Mathematics-informatics teaching" specialty of ADPU. Since 1993, he has been a doctoral student of the Department of "Functional Analysis" of the "Mathematics and Mechanics" Institute of ANAS.

In 2007, he received the title of candidate of physical-mathematical sciences, majoring in "Mathematical analysis". Currently, he is a doctoral student of BSU's Doctor of Sciences program.

3. Habibov Shakir Alif - head teacher was born in Lankaran district in 1951. In 1973, he entered the "Mechanics-Mathematics" faculty of Azerbaijan State University. In 1979, he graduated from the university and received the qualification of "mathematician, teacher of mathematics". Since 1992, he worked as a teacher and head teacher at LSU. In 1994-2000, he was the chairman of the Student Scientific Society of the University.

4. Habibov Vahab Mehdi - doctor of philosophy in mathematics, associate professor was born on 20.11.1967 in the city of Lankaran. In 1985, he entered the "Mechanics-mathematics" faculty of BSU, and in 1992, he graduated and received the qualification of mathematician, mathematics teacher. He started working as a teacher at LSU in 1996. Currently, he is the head teacher of the "Mathematics and Informatics" department.

5. Gasimov Rashid Atakhan - PhD in mathematics, associate professor. Gasimov Rashid Atakhan was born in 1957 in Haftoni settlement of Lankaran district. In 1974, he graduated from high school, and in 1978, he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University named after Tusi. He worked as a mathematics teacher in Laj village, city No. 10 secondary schools of Lankaran region. Since 2001, he has worked as a teacher, head teacher, deputy dean, academic secretary, and chairman of the trade union at Lankaran State University. In 2017, he successfully defended his dissertation on "Differential Equations" and received the scientific title of Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics.

6. Farzaliyeva Ulkar Mirsamid - teacher. He was born on July 27, 1992 in the city of Lankaran, in 2009 he graduated from Shuryuk village secondary school. 7. Akhundov Adalat Yavuz - doctor of mathematical sciences, professor. He was born on June 1, 1949 in Ordubad district. In 1966, he entered the "Mechanics-Mathematics" faculty of Baku State University, graduated from that faculty in 1971 and received the qualification of mathematician and mathematics teacher. In 1976, he entered the graduate school of the "Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics" of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and in 1981, after defending his dissertation on "Inverse problems for linear and quasi-linear parabolic equations in unbounded domains", he became a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences philosophy received a scientific degree. Since 1984, he has been an associate professor of the "Higher mathematics" department of Azerbaijan Technical University. Since 2002, he has been working at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS.

In 2008, he defended his thesis on "Inverse problems for linear and quasi-linear elliptic and parabolic equations" and received a doctorate in mathematics.

In 2013, he received the scientific title of professor. He is a well-known expert in the field of inverse problem theory for mathematical physics equations, author of more than 50 articles in this field. More than 10 scientific articles have been published in foreign countries. He participated in various scientific conferences and symposia held in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia and other countries and made reports.

Akhundov Adalat received the degree of Candidate of Sciences in "Mathematics" since 1980, and Doctor of Sciences in Mathematics in 2009, he is a professor. Currently, he works as a deputy director at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS.

8. Aliyev Ramiz Atash - candidate of sciences in physics and mathematics, associate professor. He was born on May 11, 1956 in Kalvaz village of Lerik district. He finished high school in that village and studied at the applied mathematics faculty of Baku State University in 1973-1978. In 1978-1981, he worked at the computing center of the Ministry of Aviation Industry located in Kazan. In 1981-1982, he worked as a scientific worker at the scientific-research institute of automation of chemical processes located in Sumgayit, and in 1982-1995, he worked as a scientific worker at the space research science-production union. In 1992, he defended his candidate's thesis at Kharkiv State University and received the title of physics-mathematical sciences. In 1995-2000, he worked as an associate professor at the Higher Military School. Since 2000, he has been working as an associate professor at Azerbaijan Cooperation University.

He is the author of nearly 40 scientific articles and theses, two textbooks and several programs.

9. Hamidov Ruslan Allahveran - PhD in mathematics, associate professor. He was born on January 8, 1971 in the village of Mashgan, Astara district. In 1988, he graduated from high school with excellent grades, entered the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Baku State University, and in 1993 graduated from that faculty and obtained the qualification of "mathematician, teacher of mathematics". He has been working at Lankaran State University since 1993. He worked as a teacher, head teacher, deputy dean, head of the teaching department, head of the personnel department, and from 2007 to 2014, he worked as a vice-rector for administrative and economic affairs. 10. Anvar Shahgubadbeyli Khandadash - head teacher. He was born on November 19, 1961 in Bilasuvar district. In 1990, he graduated from Saratov State University named after N. G. Chernyshevsky (Russian Federation) majoring in applied mathematics. In 1990/1993, according to the state appointment, he worked as an engineer-programmer in the "Znamya Truda" scientific-production unit of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR. In 1993, he worked as an Informatics teacher at the Lankaran State University and the Lankaran branch of the Republican Teacher Training Institute. Since 1994, he has worked at Lankaran State University in various positions.

Currently, he is the director of LSU Information-Communication and Library Center, head teacher of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics.

11.Guliyev Allahshukur Azizaga - Head teacher. Guliyev Allahshukur Azizaga was born on June 27, 1990 in the village of Godasa, Lankaran district. In 2007, he was admitted to the "Mechanics-Mathematics" faculty of Baku State University. In 2011, he successfully graduated from the University and received a bachelor's degree in mathematics. In 2011, he was admitted to the master's degree program of Lankaran State University specializing in "Mathematical analysis" and went to military service. In 2015, he defended his dissertation on "Solution of the Schrödinger equation in the space of generalized functions" and received a master's degree in "Mathematical analysis" specialization. In 2012-2013, A.A. Guliyev worked at Lankaran State University as an engineer-economist, junior researcher, head of the personnel department. In 2013-2016, he worked as an expert on business loans at "Bank of Baku" OJSC. A.A. Guliyev started working again at Lankaran State University on June 6, 2016. 12. Niftullayeva Shabina Agadin - head teacher. He was born on September 14, 1990 in the city of Lankaran. In 2011, he graduated from the "Mathematics" faculty of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. In 2013, he graduated from Sumgayit State University with a specialization in "Differential Equations". 13. Shabiyeva Konul Valihaddin - teacher was born on July 19, 1984 in the city of Lankaran. In 2002, he finished the 11th grade at secondary school No. 9 in Lankaran city. 14. Farzullazade Ramin Ghalib - teacher was born on 22.04.1992 in Havzava village of Lankaran district. In 1998-2009, he studied at Havzava village secondary school. 16. Farzullazade Abid Ghalib - teacher was born on 09.06.1995 in Havzava village of Lankaran district. 17. Ahmadov Saleh Zeyni, PhD in mathematics, associate professor. He was born on June 10, 1973. He studied in high school in 1980-1990. He is married and has one child.
