Kamran Kazimov was born on March 8, 1961 in Yukhari Nuvedi village of Lankaran region. In 1994, he graduated with honors from the Institute of Russian Language and Literature named after M.F.Akhundov (now BSU). He is a candidate of philological sciences. He completed his doctoral thesis entitled "N.S. Tikhonov and the East." He is a specialist in foreign literature. He is the author of 4 monographs, 10 programs, 6 methodical aids, more than 90 scientific articles. His scientific works have been published in scientific journals of Azerbaijan, Russia, Poland, America, the Czech Republic, Georgia and other foreign countries. He has participated in international scientific conferences in Poznan (Poland), Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Kursk State Technical University of Russia, Astrakhan State University, Volgograd State University, Moscow State Pedagogical University and at the Congress on "Language Policy of the Commonwealth of Independent States" in Minsk, Belarus. In addition, Kamran Kazimov has took part in trainings at the Universities of Lodz in Poland, Essex in Great Britain, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasse in Romania, and represented Lankaran State University as a member of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the seminar on studying the education system of the Republic of Turkey at the Public Administration Institute of Turkey and the Middle East (TODAIE) in Ankara.
